Bicycle plan
How do I purchase a bicycle through the bicycle plan of the work costs scheme?
To purchase a new bike via the WKR there are three steps you need to follow. When you complete these steps you can enjoy cycling on your new bike, purchased with the bike plan via your employer.
Roadmap:
Step 1: Discuss the bicycle plan with your employer
Discuss with your employer whether and for what purchase value you may purchase a bicycle within the bicycle plan. Your employer can do the administration of this themselves or choose to transfer it to an intermediary such as Bedrijfsfietsen Nederland (BFN), ABC fietsplan, Nationaal Fietsplan (NFP) or FiscFree. They have a lot of experience with the Fietsplan, so they know exactly what you need. These external parties do charge additional costs, this amount is 15% of the purchase price with a maximum of €1000, which means the maximum amount is €150.
Intermediaries such as Bedrijfsfietsen Nederland, ABC fietsplan, Nationaal Fietsplan or FiscFree are not a mandatory link within the bicycle plan. If your employer has the administration of this in-house, these parties are not necessary.
Step 2: Choose your new bike at Dailyride.nl* or in our store
Order your new bike on dailyride.nl or purchase it in our store in the Netherlands. Does the bike you want to buy have a higher purchase value than the amount that your employer's bike plan allows? Then you must pay the difference yourself and settle it.
* Please note: Exceptions to this are ABC Fietsplan and Bedrijfsfietsen Nederland. If you want to purchase a new bike through one of these two organisations, you can do so in the store, online or by email. It is important that the person who orders also receives the bike. A signature is required upon receipt of the bike from the bike plan.

Step 3: The payment
The way you pay for the bike depends on your employer's wishes. Ask your employer about this. There are three payment options for the bike plan:
- You pay yourself (via your preferred payment method) and declare the purchase amount to your employer;
- Your employer pays (we send the invoice to your employer);
- The payment goes through an intermediary (as mentioned earlier) and they arrange the payment with your employer. With the arrangement through the intermediary there are additional costs.
